Rod J. Rohrich, M.D., F.A.C.S., is an internationally known leader and educator in Plastic Surgery, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, one of only three departments in Plastic Surgery in the United States. He is also Holder of the Crystal Charity Ball Distinguished Chair in Plastic Surgery, the only distinguished chair in Plastic Surgery in the United States. He has a clinical practice at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Rohrich has been the recipient of numerous prestigious national research and teaching awards during his academic career in plastic surgery. He is on the editorial board of numerous peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the leading journal for plastic surgeons in the world, and Selected Readings in Plastic Surgery which is a supplement to the teaching curriculum of plastic surgery training programs in the United States and thirty-eight foreign countries. Dr. Rohrich's interests span the entire spectrum of plastic surgery from craniomaxillofacial surgery to aesthetic surgery (rhinoplasty, breast surgery, and body contouring). |
