Enzyme Vitalize/RA Peel Lactic/Glycolic/Salycylic Jessners TCA-Obagi Blue Peel
These non-ablative peels refine and refresh skin, as well as treat pigmentation problems and acne. Peels can have some slight discomfort at the time of application, but resolves quickly. Chemical peels may cause flaking and some downtime depending on the strength of the peel and the patient’s response. In general, patients have an immediate glow. A full face peel takes less than 30 minutes. Peels range from $150 to $300 per treatment.

Microdermabrasion A flow of fine crystals with applied vacuum suction results in a very gentle "sandblasting" of the skin, removing dead surface cells and clearing the pores of debris. Over time and treatments, pigment fades away and surface irregularities, such as fine wrinkles and acne scars, begin to soften. The procedure of the face takes about 30 minutes. Skin care products are then applied to enhance the treatment. Patients may be pink the rest of the day but there is generally no flaking or peeling afterward. Treatment costs $150 and also offered in packages.
Microdermaplaning A blade is taken across the skin surface removing dead surface cells and fine hair. This procedure is a "mechanical" type peel similar to Microdermabrasion, but the removal of fine hair is the main difference. This is helpful for women that want unwanted hair removed. Waxing the face is an option for fine hair removal, but if a patient is on a form of Retin A or a strong skin care product, their skin is too sensitive for waxing resulting in irritated abrasions. A Microdermaplaning procedure takes about 30 minutes. Skin care products are then applied to enhance the treatment. Following the procedure, patients may be pink with a radiant glow. Treatment costs $150.
